Upload Folder Questions

Hello,
If I create folder from Contenido and then delete it from FTP for example, after going to Uploads again, that folder doesnt exists.
But in WYSIWYG insert Link, this folder still exists. I looked in DB and that folder is still there.
Coming from that I am interested, if there is some Cleanup script that will update DB and with latest information from Uploads.
If not, then is just removing its entries from con_upl sufficient, or anything else has to be done ?
